We have completed the end of an era and we are beginning on a new road of light and awakening. We all have a part to play in bringing a greater spiritual consciousness to our world. The intentions of awakening were laid down long before our births in the illuminating light of unity and the completion will be known by our children’s children. Breathe in this new dawn and let it fill you with Love, Hope and Courage as we emerge from the darkness.

 Let us begin our walk from the darkness with an understanding of our rhythms and long-term spiritual development. We have within us the most effective monitor of our rhythms. Our heartbeats reflect our life’s rhythms and cycles. Our first step is to develop an orderly discipline and practice in our day to listen to our heartbeat and rhythm, hearing the message of this moment. In that way we bring our being into perfect and proper order.

 As we learn how to live in harmony with the rising and falling energies of our lives, we flow with the ups, downs, ins and outs to progress toward our goal of spiritual maturity. Now, carefully study your inner relationship with the outer world, see how your inner states are projected onto the screen of life. As we develop universal unity and love in our being, our values shift to be more in alignment with the greater cosmic order.

Our being is connected to all the beings of the world. As we change ourselves, we change the world we know. In this way we introduce our seeds of truth into the earth, with our new found inner and outer relationship, and transform her. We are here to embody the highest good and bring it into the greater whole.

The whole is greater than the sum of its parts, but not in a sacrificial way. We contribute more in the manner of the greater good enhancing all individuals along the way, so not one part gains more than the others. Always there is balance and movement forward within each of us and our world.

As we advance in our spiritual maturity we contribute beyond just this physical world, we contribute to the universal consciousness. Awakening comes as a realization that there is a higher dimension of reality with which we are connected to and this higher dimension is a universal consciousness of unity & oneness.

The new road is bright and shining with cooperation. It may be a long road, yet as we help each other we will advance to a new way of being. Now is the time to take the first step.

Being a soul in wonder allows you to live as yourself.. how better can we learn to understand the depth of our world & our place in it.—

Let your Heart Shine in this New Year

The more we connect to the Divine Source of Creation the more we begin to change for the better. Slowly a belief in unity replaces our belief in separation, and with that comes a sense of harmony. At first we are out of practice in connecting and creating our link. In order to polish our rusty link and have it communicating smoothly, we need to release and let go so we may flow with our higher nature. This means bringing our ego into balance.

Before our transformation we are focused on wants and needs like wealth, fitting in, pleasure, accomplishments and respect. Our hearts know deep down that this is not our primary focus. We then begin to teach the ego that compassion and universal love are the true focus our heart needs to strengthen the link to our higher nature. We learn through interconnection with everything in the universe that what we do to another we do to ourselves. What we fail to do for another we fail to do for ourselves. These are the lessons that build a relationship with our ego based on compassion and love.

We live in a world where anything is possible, yet to work with the energy of all potentials, we must be totally honest with ourselves and everything within our circle. We must come to accept our faults and strengths. This is not something everyone wants to do but it liberates our heart and strengthens our mind. I favor using stillness, gratitude and mindful attention within my circle to accomplish this quest of personal acceptance. Honesty and acceptance is an ongoing practice, which is essential to having clear communication with our higher nature. With time our practice becomes a way of living and many of what we perceived as faults evolve into strengths.

With this new way of living we connect more with our higher nature and thus with the Divine Source. If we look again at the interconnection with everything in the universe, we begin to see how our living with our own truth and acceptance reduces and burns away our karma. In doing so we are reducing karma for others, and we are building honesty, love and compassion for the world.

I can’t think of a better gift of giving.

Communication with Spirit

Developing our communication with Spirit can be confusing and difficult, especially in the beginning and even more troubling when trying to use that communication for finding purpose. I’ve learned it requires spending time to discern what is Spirit communication and what is normal mind chatter. I had similar problems especially after my Near-Death Experience (NDE), because my mind would sometimes try to sound like Spirit. I found it helpful to start using creativity to help me get a handle on what was Spirit and what was incessant mind chatter.

I believe our inspiration comes from Spirit. I know we all have something that we love to do that brings about inspiration maybe it’s music, art, crafts, writing or whatever. As we do these activities that bring us joy, I recommend devoting all our attention to it and see what new ideas pop into our consciousness. Explore the new ideas further and try to accomplish them. I found as I worked in my creativity my heart would sing when new inspiring ideas came into my thoughts. That is a very subtle way Spirit can start to communicate so we can hear it above the chatter in our brains.

I also recommend meditation to everyone on a spiritual path, I know, I know, that in itself can be a challenge. Meditation is great, yet if your having trouble quieting the mind try a ceremony before the meditation. Ceremony gives the mind a chance to wind down. Something like lighting a candle and giving your gratitudes for all the good and all the obstacles in life, then visualize them going into the light so they can achieve the highest good for all. I found that simple ceremonies gives the mind something to do and helps in quieting it, For example, look at all the ceremony that is part of church services, they have a purpose.

Take a moment to unplug from all the technology and visual sensations. Focus instead on “Being.” Once we tap back into the world around us we can see it as it really is, multiple streams of consciousness that are part of a single wholeness with infinite possibilities.

Our Purpose reveals itself with spiritual maturity. Once we commit to living a spiritually heart centered life, our purpose will start to reveal itself. First it comes in small ways. For example, when we have synchronistic events occur it tell us we are in the flow and where we are supposed to be. Be patient and quietly aware while looking for the purpose and it will show itself, meanwhile enjoy the direction spiritual development takes you.

Many times in life we are attracted to what we need, mostly this give us the skills or knowledge we will need later. When we keep at it, we find what works for us. We are each unique individuals that are helping the universe shift into a new tomorrow. The more we work on ourselves the more we help the universe become a more peaceful and sustainable environment. Spirit is quietly waiting to give us the assistance necessary once we relax, focus and understand our ability to communicate.

If we expand our consciousness, we can spread our branches of understanding without judgment & be a shining sign of change for the better. ♥—

Imagine a time of awakening, where truth, respect, integrity and love are the rule. Naturally we do what is right and balanced without the need to think about it. We simply flow with the universal consciousness.

We are at the cusp of that time, increasingly people are connecting to their True Being and beginning the transformation of consciousness process.

 One night I had this dream, I was giving a sermon in this vast chapel. I had no shoes and was sliding up and down the sanctuary in my socks as I gave a very passionate service. I was guiding the congregation to touch the god within them. As I was instructing them I directed their gaze toward the ceiling.

We experienced the interconnection to all beings.

The ceiling had a remarkable painting with the entire universe, and overlaid transparently over the universe was Michelangelo’s scenes of Genesis from the Sistine Chapel. The image of “Creation of Adam” where God is reaching out to touch Adam was aglow with the universe shining through. While the congregation and I were viewing this we had our spiritual connection to our higher consciousness. We all then experienced the interconnection to all beings.

That dream illustrates the sense that God dwells in all, and through our spiritual connection we are opening to a sacred dimension of reality. The sad thing is we have known this is coming for centuries. Bodhi a Sanskrit word frequently translates to “awakening” or “to know.” As more are connecting to our individual fragments of sacred oneness we are beginning to recall or to know.

One knowing is, we need to heal the deep energetic wounds that create discord and hate in the world. Only through awakened unity my we begin to create a lasting harmony that will balm the scars and allow healing.

Flowing with the universal consciousness.

There is much to do and we are all needed to move forward. We need to develop ourselves so we may live balanced lives with Spirit and Self. In that awakened state we can maintain steady resonances of love and compassion that tap into natural frequencies of the earth.

Imagine spending a few minutes a day focusing on your service to the world. Then going about your day with a calm center of being. Flowing with the universal consciousness. Fortunately we are moving toward that day.

When the physical world seams so out of balance, Stop and take a breath. In this culture that we have co-created there is always one thing after another pulling us away from our spiritual centers. Take a moment to understand they are just things or passion filled events connected to our physical consciousness. Now use this moment to feel your Presence, your spiritual consciousness.

When we live with our awakened spiritual consciousness we create a local sphere of balanced influence. We are creating a balance between the physical and the spiritual. This is a local field of resonance that is changing our physical world toward a more balanced, verdant and just place.

 In order for us to maintain and nurture this balance, we need an understanding of our spiritual consciousness, that way we may recognize it within us. Love and compassion are the core of our being and it feels strong and soft all at the same time. It is faithful to us, never criticizing or disparaging. It seeks equality with all elements of our physical and spiritual universe.

So knowing and understanding this, should not we begin to emulate and model ourselves, our thoughts and intentions to be in alignment with our spiritual consciousness? That is the way we nurture and maintain the balance.

As more of us develop our spheres they expand and interconnect to one another. With more people expanding their balance the easier it becomes to be Present always. We begin to help each other through this topsy turvy world, transcending and giving true meaning to our lives. After all, each sphere is our contribution to co-creation.

So when the physical world seams so out of balance, STOP and breath your balance into it.

Could you feel me smiling as I wrote those words? Today there is more interaction of like minded individuals than anytime in human history. We can express an idea or thought and have it posted on multiple social sites and blogs within seconds. Then within minutes that thought can be picked up repeated and restated by like minded folks around the earth. In a very short time it can reach thousands. Think of the change a single thought or stream of consciousness can bring-about if thousands are focused on the same intention at the same time.

Nevertheless, one has to ask, “Is our soul attached?”  A thought or word shared without soul conviction has no value. That can be said whether it is spoken in our presence or on the other side of the earth. We Skype my Sister-in-law and family weekly. They are in Australia and we are in the States, yet we feel due to these conversations we are connected in each others lives.

When we attach loving intention to our communication, no matter what means it is transmitted, our souls receive it. We humans lack the ability to see the greater picture – the universal all. Sometimes we may catch a glimpse, even then our brains and hearts act as filters for our higher consciousness. In this time of “Shift” we are responsible to fine tune our hearts and minds in-order-to clearly receive each others intentions and the dialogue with our higher consciousness.

Every day I find more like minded people around the world that are communicating spiritual unity and love. People are connecting their spiritual messages into a greater global consciousness through many of these networks. This is not some bohemian rhapsody. It is a fluid and loving tide that is about to turn, hopefully assisting in raising and quickening our collective consciousness.

I try to live simply allowing life to unfold. It gives me a sense of serenity looking forward and being open to what ever life brings. I try to inject this sense into the stream of global consciousness using positive intentions and actions. It can be an intimate relationship with the universe of people that are connecting online.

Although, I have to agree with my friends somewhat, I still enjoy a good conversation over a cup of coffee or tea now and then.

"Who Are You?"

“Who are you?” asks Alice’s Caterpillar puffing on his hookah. Who indeed…

I once dreamt I was an Elk watching the world from the highest hill, overlooking all, with stamina to outlast time. Then I awoke as me, merely human. Am I that magnificent elk or this man? What does an elk dream of?

Our ignorance keeps us believing we are absolute. Separate individuals all independently forging a life with so many other individuals. Am I my job, my family or a conglomerate of all those personas to be put on and taken off as needed.

At times I feel like a pillar in the middle of a hurricane, with humanity’s madness swirling around me. Its then that I’m quietly reminded by Spirit ~ “Be the Pillar”

To be the pillar requires a shift, a change in focus. I have always enjoyed taking another look at my life, a life review of sorts. Trying to examine it from a greater perspective. Looking for the wonder, the miracle unfolding. It may not be easy, but it sometimes reveals the clues to finding my direction or future path.

We are all question marks and until we begin to peal away the layers to find an identity that is our true self we may wander aimlessly. In our self realized search if we go far enough we will find a non-self that includes All and embraces love. Now we can cast off the shackles of ignorance. Releasing the lower aspects of ourselves like jealousy, hatred and envy.

When we eventually discover our True Being will we be able to say “I See You” like in the movie Avatar. I see you for the light that you truly are, an incarnation, embodiment, or manifestation of a person and we now genuinely know each other as interconnected beings, part of a greater whole.

Oh-No!! two movie references in one post, am I going to the dogs.. or.. am I possibly the Dog?

I am reminded of a quote from one of the most celebrated mystics of all time -Rumi

“You are not just a drop in the ocean, you are the mighty ocean in the drop”

No matter what our life experiences are or how we feel about ourselves we are all divine with amazing gifts and abilities to share with the universe. We share the responsibilities of sculpting our souls into loving light. In the Light we are all the Elk, attentive sentries outlasting time.

As a survivor of life, I cherish the everyday exchanges, especially interactions with other people. They give me the opportunity to practice loving intentions. I’m not always at my best though, so the results are varied. Although I feel I am getting better.

When facing a difficult situation and meeting it with loving intention, I have experienced the perceived difficulty melting away and the situation then flows smoother and with less resistance. On the other hand, I have experienced challenges with simple interactions when I proceed without love in my heart, I find obstacles can pop up from nowhere.

The fastest thing in the universe isn’t light. It is Love Consciousness. Love Consciousness can move from place to place instantly and in multiple locations at the same time. Love is the action and motivator that interconnects us, so all of our consciousness can be one.

Even in these times of confusion and unconsciousness, grace awaits when we allow the Love to flow through us freely without any attachments. Grasping and attachments slow our developing love consciousness, restricting the flow of loving intention.

Imagine a world where everyone practices living with love in their heart and developing an interconnected consciousness. We would still have our differences like many flavors of ice cream although we would use loving tolerance and acceptance toward those differences.

We will finally tip the scale toward a more loving, tolerant and understanding society.

I know that sounds Utopian, but as we move ever closer toward a shift in consciousness eventually we will reach the critical mass needed for change. The numbers of people practicing loving intention will finally tip the scale toward a more loving, tolerant and understanding society.

I am encouraged that we are moving in this direction. As we communicate with more and more people globally there is a yearning and searching by many toward a life centered on loving intention and expanding consciousness.

Cindy has been biting at the bit to tell everyone but I made her wait until the contracts were signed. We are so excited they are a great match for us. They distribute in the US, UK and Australia.

Findhorn changed the secondary title and the cover, just like we were told would probably happen in the Next Top Author contest. We are very pleased with the way it is going. We will keep you in the loop when we learn the publication date. Here is a peak at the first draft of the cover. It can still change.

Follow Your Path

We are not alone on this earth/Gaia. We wander our paths feeling alone, separate from everyone and everything. At times on my life’s journey I have witnessed the interconnectedness we all have to the loving Divine Self / Source.  It’s our minds and physical nature that keeps pulling us toward separateness and when we buy into it, it feeds the ego until it becomes unbalanced. Then we find ourselves teetering on the need and desire for more-and-more with disregard for our fellow beings and the earth we walk upon. I’m not saying our mind is the enemy. I feel we are missing a greater part of being human and connected to the Oneness.

When we feel separate and we begin to “THINK” of ourselves as me, we also then “THINK” of people not like us as “them” or “others.”  There are no others!!!  Oh, how I would like to shout that from the rooftops. We only have to look at our world today to see how well the belief in being separate is going. Separateness keeps us from completely living our lives and detaches the union of our True Be-ing’s perspective.

Once we touch the Oneness then we understand that we all come from the Divine Source, that everything comes from the “One.” The source is within each of us and thus we are all connected to each other and everything. No thinking necessary, Once we surrender our thoughts we can then feel and know the deeper unified consciousness.

The seed of the tree doesn’t think to sprout and grow roots into the earth and branch upward toward the sky. When we are conceived in the womb we don’t think about growing a body with legs and arms, or when to start our heart beating. That is all divine nature and our true being working with the Source to deliver our consciousness into this physical world.

As humans we crawled out of the caves and away from the tribes to develop societies beliefs and civilizations. We used our minds all the while as we moved forward and at the same time distancing us from our interconnected Divine Self.
Now that we are here, we need to practice loving mindful attention focused on our connection to our true being in-order-to overcome this separateness and recognize our kinship with the world we live upon. Only then will we live a life with satisfaction and contentment, casting away unnecessary desires for more-and-more. Through our kinship with all, we can make an even better world.
